Where are you based?
Spirit Gymnastics Academy is based in Yeovil, Somerset. Full address details can be found on our Contact page.
Are you a registered club?
Yes! We are a British Gymnastics registered club and follow all relevant safeguarding, coaching, and safety guidelines.

Ages & Eligibility
What ages do you cater for?
Our classes are for children aged 4 and up who are already in school.
For pre-school aged children, please contact Jumping Beans, who run their own classes from our venue.
Bookings & Accounts
How do I book a class?
All classes are booked through the ‘Join Here’ link on our website: www.spiritacro.com. This will take you to our booking system, LoveAdmin, where you can view availability and select the class that suits you best.
You will be asked to create an account in order to confirm and manage your booking.
Payments

How do payments work and how are they taken?
All payments are taken by direct debit via LoveAdmin. Fees are collected monthly.
What happens if a payment is late?
Please refer to our Payment Policy for full details regarding late payments, reminders, and any applicable late fees.

Cancellations
Can I cancel my child’s place?
Yes – we require one month’s notice to cancel your child’s place. This allows us to manage class numbers, staffing, and waiting lists fairly.

Progression & Pathways
How do Foundation gymnasts progress?
Foundation gymnasts progress to our Advanced class once they have passed Level 3 on the Rise Award Scheme.
Do you offer competitive pathways?
Yes. We offer competitive pathways for gymnasts with the appropriate ability, attitude, and commitment. These include Regional, National, and International competition pathways.
How does squad selection work?
Selection is by coach invitation only and is based on assessment, performance, coach recommendation, and long-term potential.

Offers & Promotions
Do you offer trial sessions?
We don’t offer trial sessions all of the time. However, we do regularly run special offers, such as discounted first months (e.g. half price), open sessions, or promotional events. These will always be advertised on our website and social media.

What to Wear & Bring
What should my child wear?
Gymnasts should wear a leotard or fitted sportswear. Clothing must not have zips, buttons, or loose fabric. Hair must be tied back securely.
Do they need footwear?
No – gymnastics is done barefoot.
Do you sell Spirit kit?
Yes! Official Spirit kit and merchandise can be purchased through our Spirit Shop on the website.

Viewing & Facilities
Can parents stay and watch?
Yes – all sessions, including squad sessions, can be viewed from our café via our viewing screens. This allows parents and carers to relax while still being able to see their child train.
We kindly ask that parents do not interact with gymnasts or coaches during sessions so that training can run without interruption.
Do you have a café?
Yes – we have an on-site café for parents and carers.

Safety & Welfare
Are your coaches qualified?
All coaches are qualified, DBS checked, and trained in safeguarding and first aid.
Is my child insured?
All gymnasts must be registered with British Gymnastics, which includes insurance.

Holiday Clubs
Do you run holiday clubs?
Yes! We run holiday clubs during school breaks which include gymnastics, games, crafts, and team-building activities.
Are holiday clubs open to non-members?
Yes – holiday clubs are open to both members and non-members.

Communication
How do I communicate with my child’s coach?
All class communication is managed through ClassDojo. This is where we share updates, reminders, and important information.
Please note that coaches are unable to have in-depth conversations during sessions, as their focus must remain on the gymnasts’ safety and training. Any non-urgent questions should be sent via ClassDojo.
